Publishers Weekly just came out with a
list of what it’s calling “the Best Books of 2014.” Here are a few:
- Roberto Bolaño’s Fiction: An Expanding Universe by Chris Andrews (Columbia University Press; coming July 29).
- Half a King by Joe Abercrombie (Del Ray; coming July 15).
- Qur’an in Conversation by Michael Birkel (Baylor University Press; coming August 15).
- Another Great Day at Sea: Life Aboard the USS George H.W. Bush by Geoff Dyer (Pantheon; coming May 20).
