A spiritual advisor and former editor-in-chief of Heart & Soul magazine, award-winning writer Anita Kopacz is also the author of two novels, Shallow Waters and, more recently, The Wind on Her Tongue. Says Mara Brock Akil of the latter, “[It] reimagines difficult parts of our past, giving flowers to many historical Black figures that never got their due.” Kopacz discussed The Wind on Her Tongue with Miriam Oliphant in April.
