The former chair of the Management Committee of Britain’s Society of Authors (and now a fellow at the organization), Anne Sebba is also the author of multiple works of nonfiction focused on women, including Les Parisiennes: Resistance, Collaboration, and the Women of Paris Under Nazi Occupation, That Woman: The Life of Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor, and Ethel Rosenberg: An American Tragedy. Her latest book is The Women’s Orchestra of Auschwitz: A Story of Survival, which Publishers Weekly calls “a chilling account of the sublime being twisted to inhumane ends.”
