An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

Journalist Chaney Kwak has written for multiple publications, including the New York Times, Food & Wine, and Condé Nast Traveler. His first book, which came out in June, is The Passenger: How a Travel Writer Learned to Love Cruises & Other Lies from a Sinking Ship. The Washington Post called the work “beautifully written and astutely observed. This is a marvelous book.” Kwak discussed The Passenger with WYPL’s Dave Mason in late July.
