Authors on Audio: Crystal Simone Smith

Crystal Simone Smith is an award-winning poet whose collections include Dark Testament and Runagate. Her new work is Common Sense (1776), Addressed to Today’s Citizens of America: An Erasure, which Booklist calls “sharply relevant in this time of accelerated challenges to the constitution and the rule of law and renewed attacks on the rights of women, immigrants, people of color, trans people, and all who question the government.” Smith discussed Common Sense (1776) with Sullivan Summer in March.
