CNN legal analyst and former Department of Justice attorney Elliot Williams recently penned his first book, Five Bullets: The Story of Bernie Goetz, New York’s Explosive ‘80s, and the Subway Vigilante Trial That Divided the Nation. Columbia Magazine calls the work “a deeply researched, richly detailed portrait of how a racially divided city came to excuse potentially deadly white-on-Black violence.” Williams discussed Five Bullets with Michael Zeldin in April.
