Guggenheim fellow and literary critic Heather Clark may be best known for her nonfiction works on Sylvia Plath, including Red Comet: The Short Life and Blazing Art of Sylvia Plath and Sylvia Plath: A Very Short Introduction. In her latest offering, The Scrapbook, however, the author turns to fiction. Says the Jewish Chronicle of the new book, “Clark has achieved an impressive feat in this beautiful and powerful novel examining the nature of intergenerational trauma, inherited guilt and all-consuming love.” Clark discussed The Scrapbook with Stephen Usery in late June.
