An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

Colombian American writer/professor Patricia Engel is author of the prize-winning novels Vida, It’s Not Love, It’s Just Paris, and The Veins of the Ocean. Her new novel, already a bestseller, is Infinite Country, which Buzzfeed calls “a piercing story of family, sacrifice, and Latin American immigration…an eye-opening account of what being ‘undocumented’ really looks like, and a paean to love and endurance.” Engel recently discussed the book with WYPL’s Stephen Usery.
