An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

A professor at the University of Texas at Austin’s Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and a former longtime policymaker in Washington, DC, William Inboden is also the author, most recently, of The Peacemaker: Ronald Reagan, the Cold War, and the World on the Brink. It’s a book, says Publishers Weekly, that makes “a stimulating case for the 40th president as a serious, far-sighted statesman.”
Inboden discussed The Peacemaker with author/attorney Talmage Boston and with Dale Petroskey, who worked in the White House as assistant press secretary under Reagan. Listen to the podcast here.
