Join in the free fun at the Library of Congress this Sat., Apr. 27th, from 10AM-5PM!

The DC Author Festival, in partnership with the Library of Congress, is a gathering for local writers to participate in workshops, discussions, social activities, and professional development. Our signature speaker is Michael Twitty, the James Beard Award-winning author of The Cooking Gene: A Journey Through African-American Culinary Traditions in the Old South (1:30PM in the Mumford Room). Please register here for the event so that we know you will attend and which sessions interest you!
[Editor's note: The Independent will be there until 1:30PM. Stop by our table and say hi!]
