The third-annual BIPOC Scholarship to attend the Washington Writers Conference, the DC-area’s premier publishing-focused writing event, will be awarded to five writers from BIPOC communities! But note: The deadline to apply is tomorrow (Jan. 31st)!

Applicants must be 18 years or older and be able to attend the conference in person on May 2-3, 2025, in Rockville, MD. Recipients will have access to all activities, including panels, lunch, the keynote address, and agent-pitch sessions. (Please note: No travel expenses or accommodations will be provided.)

Applications will be reviewed by the conference’s planning committee, and recipients will be notified no later than March 1st. Scholarships are non-transferable and have no monetary value.
