But you can be sure the Independent will continue to champion books in all their wondrous diversity, and we remain committed to connecting readers with books to love, argue about, savor, and share. We want everyone to read what they like — widely, deeply, fearlessly, and with boundless curiosity.

You’ll hear from many worthy nonprofits during the holidays, but we ask that you consider supporting us as one of the voices advocating for the free exchange of ideas, especially as this core value comes under attack.
