An occasional series in which writers speak for themselves.

Podcast: Philip Taubman

A former longtime journalist at the New York Times and now an affiliate of Stanford University’s Center for International Security and Cooperation, Philip Taubman is also the author of several books, including Secret Empire: Eisenhower, the CIA, and the Hidden Story of America’s Space Espionage and The Partnership: Five Cold Warriors and Their Quest to Ban the Bomb. His latest work, co-written with his brother, William Taubman, is McNamara at War: A New History, which Library Journal calls “a precise examination of the life of one of the 20th century’s iconic Americans.”

Taubman recently discussed McNamara at War with author/attorney Talmage Boston. Listen to the podcast here.
