The Washington Writers Conference Presents Glory Edim
- January 29, 2025
Meet our keynote speaker!

We’re thrilled to announce that Glory Edim will be the keynote speaker at our 2025 Washington Writers Conference! Best known as the founder of Well-Read Black Girl, a “literary community dedicated to Black women,” Edim is also an advocate, activist, podcaster, and author, most recently, of Gather Me: A Memoir in Praise of the Books That Saved Me. Hanif Abdurraqib calls the work “a beautiful portrait of a full life that has been buoyed by an expansive and ever-growing love for words and for language.”
Hear for yourself what Edim has to say about the joys and challenges of the literary life during this year’s conference! She’s just one of the dozens of publishing pros and literary agents who’ll be on hand to share their expertise.
