
Carrie Madren is an award-winning writer and independent journalist based in Northern Virginia. She’s crafted lengthy features as well as articles and narrative-style profiles for publications including Maryland Life, Scientific American, Washingtonian, Washington Post Express Parks & Recreation,The Nature Conservancy magazine and more. Carrie earned a B.A. in English and environmental studies from Ohio Wesleyan University.
