José H. Bográn

José H. Bográn is an international author of novels, short stories, and scripts for films, plays, and television. He was born and raised in Honduras. José is the son of a journalist, but he ironically prefers to write fiction rather than facts. His genre of choice is thrillers, but he likes to throw a twist of romance into the mix. As a freelance writer, he has several articles published in a wide range of topics in both English and Spanish. He writes reviews for the Independent.
In his native Spanish, he’s collaborated in three 20-episode TV serials for domestic broadcasting and has penned several screenplays, the latest for “11 Cipotes,” which was an early contender for the 2016 Oscar in the Foreign Film category.
He’s a member of Sisters in Crime, Crime Writers of Color, Short Mystery Fiction Society, and the International Thriller Writers, where he also serves as assistant editor for their official zine, The Big Thrill.
He signs his emails with the motto: “I never tell lies; I only write them.”
