Nancy Kress
Nancy Kress is the author of twenty-nine books: twenty-two novels, four collections of short stories, and three books on writing fiction. She is perhaps best known for the “Sleepless” trilogy that began with BEGGARS IN SPAIN. Her fiction has won four Nebulas, two Hugos, a Sturgeon, and the 2003 John W. Campbell Award (for PROBABILITY SPACE). Most recent books are a an SF novel, STEAL ACROSS THE SKY (Tor, 2009) and a YA fantasy series beginning with CROSSING OVER (Viking, 2010), written under the name “Anna Kendall.” For sixteen years Kress was the “Fiction” columnist for WRITERS DIGEST magazine. She lives in Seattle with her husband, SF writer Jack Skillingstead, and Cosette, the world’s most spoiled toy poodle.
