Phil Harvey
Phil Harvey’s published work includes fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. His fiction has appeared in 12 magazines, including the MacGuffin and Natural Bridge. Earlier, Phantasmagoria nominated one of his stories for a Pushcart Prize, and Antietam Review named another of his stories the winner of its annual contest.
A dozen more stories appear in his third book, Government Creep, published by Loompanics Press in 2003.
His nonfiction includes The Government vs. Erotica, which the American Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Roundtable nominated as a best book on intellectual freedom; Let Every Child Be Wanted, which former President Jimmy Carter praised; and more than 40 articles, columns and letters in the New York Times, the Washington Post, and other periodicals.
By day, Harvey is president of DKT International, a small, risk-oriented social-marketing organization, and president and majority shareholder of PHE, also known as Adam & Eve, a mail-order business that sells sexually oriented books and films. He has appeared on CNN and network television, as well as on numerous radio talk shows.
